Today, we explore the State of Pará, one of the greatest cultural, historical, and environmental treasures of Brazilian Amazonia.

Located in northern Brazil, Pará is home to immense rivers, vast rainforests, extraordinary biodiversity, and vibrant communities that have lived in harmony with nature for generations.

Its capital, Belém, is known as the gateway to Amazonia. Among its greatest symbols is the iconic Ver-o-Peso Market, one of the oldest and most traditional open-air markets in Latin America. For centuries, it has connected people, cultures, flavors, and traditions, becoming a living symbol of the Amazonian way of life.

Pará is also home to countless species of wildlife and plants found nowhere else on Earth. Rivers such as the Amazon, Tapajós, Xingu, and Tocantins shape both the landscape and the lives of millions of people.

The state plays a fundamental role in protecting the world's largest tropical rainforest. Conserving Pará means protecting biodiversity, supporting Indigenous peoples and traditional communities, and helping preserve one of Earth's most important ecosystems.
