Acre β Where the Forest Tells Its Story
Welcome to the Amazonia Journal.
Today, our journey takes us to Acre, a state where the forest preserves stories of courage, resilience, and a profound connection between people and nature.
Located in the far west of Brazil, Acre is home to some of the best-preserved areas of Amazonia. Its rivers, forest reserves, and rich biodiversity make the state an important refuge for countless species of animals and plants.
Acre is also recognized for the strength of its Indigenous peoples, traditional communities, and rubber tappers, who have helped build a history marked by respect for the forest and the sustainable use of its natural resources.
Among its ancient trees live jaguars, macaws, monkeys, tapirs, and countless other species that make Amazonia one of the richest ecosystems on the planet.
Protecting Acre means preserving an essential part of Amazonia, ensuring that its forests, rivers, cultures, and biodiversity continue to inspire future generations.
I am João Carlos Gonçalves, founder of Zenyra.
Thank you for joining us for another episode of the Amazonia Journal.
